Ultrasound
An ultrasound also known as sonography is used to get high-quality images of various internal structures of the body. This imaging service is frequently used during pregnancy to monitor the health, growth, and development of the baby, as well as the overall health of the mother. However, ultrasounds also have several other key uses in medical diagnostics and imaging viz. many abdominal related conditions, pregnancy, breathing problems, lumps, prostate issues etc.
Ultrasound may be performed when you are still in bed in the emergency room, when an ER doctor uses the ultrasound to check for internal bleeding or diagnose a life-threatening condition such as injuries to the chest and abdomen after an accident.
